Holding their Asia Tour Concert, Korea Boyband SS501, arrived at Taiwan today. Other than fans from Thailand and Hong Kong whom have purposely flied over to chase their star, Taiwan fans also almost flooded the arrival hall of Taoyuan Airport, the situation was almost out of controlled.

Debut in 2005, SS501 has many fan in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. They has started their Asia Tour Concert since 1 August in Korea and following by that held their concert in Japan. Their 3rd stop is Taiwan. Scheduled to hold their concert on 17 October at Taipei Arena and following by that in Shanghai & Hong Kong.

SS501 took the afternoon flight to Taoyuan Airport. Before coming down from the plane, the airport control area already had around 20 over fans from Hong Kong and Thailand, waiting with their luggage, just to see their idol.

In order to control order, Securities guards of SS501 made a big move and pushed 2 fans until they fell down at the airport arrival walk way. Other fans at the restricted area was frantically chasing after them until check out. Giving gifts, asking for autographs, causing SS501 check out time to lengthen.

When their idol appear at the arrival hall, fans waiting around started to shout and shriek. SS501 members smile and wave to them. Along the way, fans were shrieking, pushing the emotion to the highest point, and the scene was almost uncontrollable. Airport police has to specially assign manpower to maintain order. Only until SS501 members departed by car, then all these fans gradually disperse.

In order to attract the attention of their idol, 2 Taiwan fans wore Korea transitional costume. There are some who had waited at the arrival hall 1 or 2 days ago. A girl who specially flied in from Hong Kong mentioned: " just to chase after star, including air ticket, concert ticket and lodging, she spend around NT20,000 (~USD623), but still felt that it is worthwhile.

Chinese magazine "Most Idol/ Very Idol (Zhi Ouxiang)" conducted a survey among its readers to find out who is the best among overseas idols.
SS501 obtained 7988 votes taking top spot, while Kim Hyeonjung grabbed third place with 6651 votes showing SS501's raising popularity in China.
The magazine featured Kim Hyeonjung across the cover, in relation with skin tips, body tips and whatnot.
"I have no obvious special skin tips however I feel that it's best to strive for keeping your skin in a good, clean condition."
"I like Basketball a lot" he said in this enclosed interview revealing he should be spared the constant "naturally handsome" praise.

Korea idol group SS501 come to Taiwan for the 2nd time on 15 October, attracted about 600 fans to pick up their flight, on top of that, another 50 Hong Kong fans also booked their flight to follow them from Korea to Taiwan, almost paralyzed the airport.

Once they check out, immediately caused their fans to shout and run, 5 member purposely stopped their step to greet everybody: "Hi everybody, we are SS501!"

A lot of fans have been waiting at the airport since early morning, in order to leave a lasting image for their idols, some even wore Korean costume, and also personally hand-made luminous placard.

Especially member Park JungMin, upon looking at the big head comic placard which was specially made by their fans, was mused to laughter, cheering up the atmosphere on site.

The organizer also treat them with utmost respect, sending them off to the hotel using black limousine.

Upon arrival in Taiwan, other than working on their final rehearsal, SS501 will also hold their 'Latest album 'Rebirth' & Taipei Concert Celebration' press conference in Sherwood Hotel, on 16 October.

To fulfill their promise to fans when visiting Taiwan during end June, SS501 finally going to hold their concert in Taipei Arena on 17 October (Saturday). Having their concert in Taiwan for the first time, the 5 members and their Korea management company put in extra attention. Starting from 12 October, staff from Korea had already reached Taiwan. After this, gradually, a total of 50 Korea staff will be arriving in Taiwan for concert preparation. Returning to Taiwan again, SS501's special request on diet is actually to prepare instant noodle, during rehearsal and resting meal time, they only hope to have fried chicken or packed meal, and also soft drinks to drink only, they could be rated as one of the easiest visiting Taiwan artist to serve.

Recently, the 5 members have been continuously practicing and rehearsing for the 'SS501 Asia Tour Persona 2009 Taiwan Concert'. Member Park Jung Min revealed during interview, in order to communicate in mandarin with the fans, he is learning mandarin diligently and memorizing mandarin song. Having a flare in language, he has been staying in Japan for a long period, therefore is very strong in Japanese. However, learning mandarin for the first time baffled him completely. SS501 member Kim KyuJong’s first acting experience for webtoon drama ‘SETI’ received 700,000 views within 5 days upon its release of episode 1.

‘SETI’ is written by author Yoon TaeHo, famous for comic ‘The Moss’, its episode 1 recorded 700,000 views, notably more popular than ‘The Moss’ which recorded 450,000 views. SS501 is coming to Taiwan on 15 October, they will held their Taiwan Persona Concert at Taiwan Arena on the 17 October. However, the fan sign meeting which was originally scheduled was cancelled suddenly. Due to this, many fans who had purchased the photobook were angry and accused the organizer, Broker Brothers Herald (BBH) for cheating their money. BBH revealed, SS501 will return to Korea in the afternoon on the same day. Since their schedule could not meet, it had to be cancelled.

Previously when SS501 held their fan sign meeting at Malaysia, the management company had limit only one signature for each fan, causing displeased to fans who had purchased 10 over pieces of albums. When they released the 'Dream Tour in Hawaii Photobook', the publisher and organizing unit BBH leak information about SS501's fan sign meeting at Breeze Center, but in the end it was not fulfilled.

SS501 is not affected, they are releasing a new Mini Album 'Rebirth'. On the cover photo, Kim Hyun Joong and the other members put on dark smokey make-up, causing their fans almost couldn't recognized them. They describe them as 'full of evil/devilish aura'.

Though SS501 collection album which consists of members’ solo songs was released in June, this has been 1 year 7 months since all 5 members come together for an album release.

Male group SS501 Park JungMin has been studying hard for Chinese language for their upcoming Taiwan concert.

SS501 will have their concert ‘PERSONA ASIA TOUR IN TAIPEI’ at Taiwan Super Arena on 17-Oct.

Park JungMin whom the reporter recently met with, is practicing hard for a Chinese song which requires him to study Chinese language for their upcoming Taiwan concert.

Park JungMin said “I am studying Chinese language in order to be able to converse with the fans in our Taiwan concert. Especially since the special solo stage is a Chinese song, I am memorizing the lyrics by heart now.”

In fact, Park JungMin has been memorizing the Chinese lyrics at each spare time during the recording for their mini album ‘REBIRTH’ to be released on 20-Oct, and getting ready for their overseas concert.

Remember that “web toon drama” called SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence)? The fantasy series by a manhwa writer released its first two episodes online this week, and the interest has been very high. (Watch below.)

The series is comprised of short segments a little over a minute long that feature Seo Hyo-rim (Job Well Done) and SS501 member Kim Kyu-jong. SETI mixes live action with a “manhwa world,” which is achieved by mixing live photography with enhanced illustrations in the background. In the first three days of its release, the first installment drew in more than 600,000 views, with word of mouth reportedly traveling fast.

Each “episode” is really more like a skit — think of a long commercial more than traditional episode — and takes a cute tone. The two characters are a young couple who are part of a club that searches the skies for signs of alien life.

Seo Hyo-rim said of the successful launch, “I had no idea there would be so many people interested in this. I’ll try my best to work even harder and not disappoint.”
